Loose Arrow Media Productions has been shooting aerial footage in one form or another since 2010.
As the technology progressed and changed – including the government regulations – we found a really good fit with the professional-level remote controlled aerial products from DJI. We use the DJI Inspire Pro series drone platform exclusively and have become very confident and extremely comfortable with the entire system, as it performs absolutely flawlessly and provides incredible results. It's a dream to use for media production, and designed with professionals in mind, and for several reasons:
This professional drone set-up allows for one or two operators, which allows for one dedicated operator for the camera system, and one dedicated to just flying the aircraft, simultaneously. This allows for an increased production flexibility due to it's portability, the various gimble camera and lens options, including FLIR thermal cameras - which we use quite frequently, and incredible flight control and highly efficient flight times.
The resolution of the cameras on these aircraft is incredible. You literally have to see the results to believe it, and even then you won't believe what you're really seeing. We can help you understand just how much this opens up unlimited creative possibilities.
For aerial thermal imaging, there is none better than FLIR Thermal Camera Systems. We only use the DJI Zenmuse XT drone thermal cameras exclusively for all of our aerial thermal imaging projects, including but not limited to search and rescue operations, missing persons or pets or livestock, land or structure thermal assessments, security, and so much more.
There are several variables that need to be considered before we can provide an aerial media service quote. We are fully vetted with the FAA, and would like to keep flying our drones, so we follow their rules, 100%.
Location - We require the physical address of the location, or the GPS co-ordinates, prior to any flights being performed there by us. We use this information to verify the usability of the airspace and the weather conditions in that area, and to notify the FAA that we will be piloting our aircraft there. The FAA authorizes drone flights through a program called, LAANC, which stands for Low Altitude Authorization and Notification Capability, and was created as a means for the FAA to work more directly with the private drone sector to authorize and monitor the flights of remote pilots.
This is why you should always choose to work with drone professionals.
Site Inspection - We always prefer to inspect the site location prior to piloting our aircraft there for our clients. We do this by either physically visiting the location and documenting the visit with photos, and measurements or using the airspace sectionals aeronautical charts made available through SkyVector - the Seattle-based premier provider of world-wide aeronautical charts, to determine the location's viability.
Once this criteria has been verified and documented, we will then meet with our clients and discuss their project's needs in greater detail, and how we are best able to provide the service that they're looking for.
Drone Production Service Rates can be scheduled by the flight, or by the hour, or by half and full-day rates.
